Marketing-site notice
Privacy without vague promises.
This is the operational notice for the current CookieLead marketing website and its consent-gated visitor-context demo. Last updated 28 July 2026.
What this site processes
This marketing site serves page content, uses one necessary first-party cookie to remember your demo consent choice, and measures aggregate site use with Ahrefs Web Analytics. The live demo derives network context only after you permit both lead-intent and company-resolution purposes.
Aggregate web analytics
CookieLead uses Ahrefs Web Analytics on the production marketing site under CookieLead's legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site use, subject to qualified privacy-counsel review. Ahrefs says its tracker uses no cookies or persistent identifiers and does not track people across sites, devices, or days. It processes page URLs, referrers, user-agent and language data, and approximate country or city. An address and user agent are combined with a daily salt to count daily visitors; Ahrefs says raw addresses are never stored or logged and old salts are deleted every 24 hours. Anonymized aggregate data may also support Ahrefs studies and service improvement.
What the demo does not do
The demo does not infer your name, email address, employer, sensitive traits, or identity. It does not fingerprint your browser, join data across customer sites, or use a network registration as proof of who you are.
Network datasets and retention
After permission, the CookieLead collector may compare the request address in memory with a signed, checksum-verified, server-only bundle. A source remains unavailable until its terms and integrity review is complete, its backend availability flag is enabled, and its kill switch remains clear. The raw address is immediately discarded: it is not returned to JavaScript, logged, cached, or stored. Derived context is retained for no more than 30 days and is deleted immediately when company-resolution permission is withdrawn.
Location precision and confidence
For a direct visit, GeoLite2 provides approximate city evidence, while GeoNames and Unicode CLDR normalize reviewed place and subdivision names. The observed ASN and source operator come from IPtoASN. A governed organization alias may replace that operator label only after exact source matching and independent GLEIF and Wikidata corroboration; it never creates a person identity or turns a consumer ISP into a company candidate. CookieLead does not maintain visitor-specific city, subdivision, or operator aliases. Results remain approximate and low confidence. A country-only privacy relay remains country-only, and the backend does not guess a hidden relay city. Privacy relay, Tor, hosting, VPN, consumer ISP, mobile, and unclassified networks never become company candidates.
Data sources
Subject to the approval and kill-switch gate above, IPtoASN is hosted inside CookieLead's server-only infrastructure under PDDL v1.0 for IP-to-ASN context. GeoNames place names are hosted under CC BY 4.0 and obtained from geonames.org. Unicode CLDR can supply subdivision names under the Unicode License V3. GLEIF and Wikidata can provide organization-only corroboration under CC0. The server-only bundle includes GeoLite Data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com. GeoLite data is used only for approximate network geography, never to locate a person, household, or street address.
Cookie consent never grants marketing-email permission. If you contact CookieLead by email, that message is handled for the purpose you requested. Any future product-marketing subscription will require a separate, unticked choice.
Your choices
You can reject the demo's non-essential purposes without losing access. Use Open privacy settings in the live demo to change the choice. Grants are enforced by short-lived server-issued purpose tokens, and withdrawal removes the derived context while preserving separately permitted data. CookieLead does not tie the cookie-free aggregate Ahrefs measurement to the demo choice; browser and content-blocking controls can prevent that request.
Questions or rights requests can be sent to privacy@cookielead.com. Final production notices and controller-specific legal text remain subject to qualified privacy-counsel review.
